It's absolutely breath taking!

Nothing changes. Just kidding of course things are changing!!!  We are constantly planning improvements for the White Mountain Double and the by-product of that is well planned changes to produce the event you are always looking to ride.  Last year we added another double century on Sunday and introduced the White Mountain Double Double, which was a huge success and now has become annual event too.

Owens Valley Committee is a non-profit organization protecting the natural resources of the Bishop area.  We are very grateful they are sponsoring the White Mountain Double for it's Caltrans permit. Please be kind and make a donation so that they continue to protect the natural resources in the Owens Valley in which we love to bike through.

The "In The Zone Massage Therapy" is a local therapeutic massage service owned by Steve Tiede, who volunteers at the Dan Crain water stop.  He will available by appointment before and after the White Mountain Double for massages.

LAWS Railroad Museum is located in town and will be having a special event "Good Ol' Days" for your family while you are riding the double.  Last, but not least the La Quinta Inn is our new Host Hotel with a special discounted room rate for you.

A new team format for both the Double and Double Double in the form of Team Relay. Ride the Double as a two-person team on Saturday or Sunday, or ride the Double Double as a two-person team or a four-person team. A rider rides from the start to the lunch stop, then the B rider rides from lunch to the finish. The A rider has about 91 miles to ride, and the B rider has about 109 miles to ride. The B rider will need to  transport himself and bike to the lunch stop to meet the A rider, then A rider will need to transport himself and bike back to the finish line to cheer their teammate across the finish line.

The start/finish line will be our new host hotel, La Quinta Inn.

The Rider Check-In will be at the Bishop Park from Friday, Sept. 12 from 5-8 pm, and the Chamber of Commerce will be cooking up and serving a pasta dinner a 6pm there at the park.

Lunch will be serve at the Dyer Community Park, which also serve as a transitional area for the teams.

Yes! There are more new things at this year's White Mountain Double Century, but the rest of them you are just going have to show up and see what they are.  See you there.

New for 2014!!
